Radiation and Heart Disease

Changes in the Cardio-Vascular System of Children Residing in the Area Polluted by Radioactive Cesium. Yu. I. Bandazhevskii, et. al. This unpublished study finds a connection between the amount of radioactive cesium in children and indicators of heart trouble. Radioactive cesium-137 was one of the pollutants released by the Chernobyl nuclear power reactor explosion in Ukraine in 1986.

For more studies showing that radiation damages the heart, see here.
